The Multi-Disk Screw Press (MDS) is a sludge dewatering machine with a solid-liquid separation system, which performs either a screw press-type sludge dewatering or a sludge dryer. Wastewater sludge is progressively thickened and dewatered through the volute screw press, which dewaters by the movement of the free rings, and finally exits as dewatered sludge on the rotary filter screw press plate. The special tungsten carbide coating of the internal screw and the low speed of the sludge dewatering system minimize friction, ensuring a long service life for the dewatering screw components. The filtrate exits the dewatering machine through the gaps between the rings, unlike the sludge thickening and sludge dewatering zones. The sludge cake is discharged at the end plate, achieving a minimum solids content of 20%. The MDS Screw Press dewatering unit is a self-cleaning unit thanks to the frictionless movement between the rings and can operate over a wide range of sludge concentrations (2000 mg/L to 50,000 mg/L). Suitable for high-oily sludge treatment systems, it can be widely used in urban wastewater, food, beverage, slaughterhouse, printing and dyeing, petrochemical, paper, leather, and pharmaceutical industries, replacing belt presses, decanters, or filter presses.
